It happened like this...
While Digest was being finished, Quiet Man had started on making some tracks collectively called Optimum. This was originally a five track ep that we considered releasing before Digest.
The intention was to create old school electro tracks that groups like Neucleus and Captain Rock used to make. It was music we all loved but you never heard these days.
Originally the only vocal track was Help Us. Laughing Gear was given the job of providing some vocals and - in an attempt to get it sounding right - gave birth to Captain Moonshooter. Moonshooter was supposed to reflect the outer space elements and the 'hip hop v everyone else' attitude - but taken to a bit of an extreme.
On the album that we ended up releaseing almost two years after digest the vocals work as a kind of story (un-intentional) with the last vocal track seeing the co-pilot Death Scorpion (Quiet Man) being released from carbonite.
